Surgical Services for Pets

We prioritize your pet's comfort and care from surgery to recovery.

At Osgoode, our veterinarians are able to perform routine spays/neuters, as well as a wide variety of soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. For advanced or specialty procedures, we also work with travelling board-certified surgeons and local specialty hospitals in order to provide the care needed for your pet.

What are soft tissue surgeries for dogs or cats?

In pets, soft tissue surgeries involve procedures conducted on the skin, muscles and internal organs. The most common type of soft tissue surgery for pets is tumour removal.

What are orthopedic surgeries for pets?

Dogs and cats who have broken bones due to injuries, or those that have long-term conditions like osteoarthritis would require orthopedic surgeries.

How do I take care of my pet after their surgery?

Our team will provide you with a comprehensive post-op plan to ensure that your pet recovers fully from their procedure. Recovery plans vary, depending on your pet’s condition and the type of surgery they had. For example, some pets may need to stay and board in-clinic for some time after the procedure, while other pets can go home with you right after.
