
Dr. Bev Baxter
Beverly Baxter graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario, Canada in 1986. She returned to her home town of Sudbury, in northern Ontario to work in companion animal practice. In 1997, she founded Baxter Animal Hospital.
Beverly sold her practice in 2014 and returned to graduate school at Laurentian University in Sudbury in the Biomolecular Sciences PhD program. Her thesis focused on circadian rhythm disruption, the molecular mechanisms involved in carcinogenesis and the effects of melatonin. After completing the PhD program, Beverly accepted a position in the Ottawa area, as a veterinarian at Osgoode Veterinary Services and a mentor to new and recent veterinary graduates in the area
Beverly enjoys spending time with her 3 sons and 2 grandsons. Favorite activities include hiking and kayaking. She is also the pet parent to a Labrador retriever and Himalayan cat.
